Our Story
The Easterton Bakehouse is your neighbourhood sourdough bakery, dedicated to revitalising local baking traditions. The starter started itself at the old bakehouse and created an amazing sourdough loaf within a couple of weeks... so baking continued; clearly the building's history is re-emerging!
We are passionate about creating quality bread using locally sourced ingredients, and strengthening community through baking. According to legend 'the ghosts of the bakehouse' are in charge!
